This RARE all black Japanese launch backwards compatible PS3 has been fully refurbished.

The console came to me in working condition.

I have refurbished it to ensure its longevity.

It has had the RSX replaced with a 40nm FRANKENSTEIN MOD.

It has had the CELL and RSX delidded to apply new thermal paste below and above the IHS.

It has had the NEC-Tokin capacitors replaced with TantalACEr PCB’s.

It has had the misc power rails filtering capacitors replaced,these fail often and are a major cause of the YLOD.

These units are the full backwards compatible units with the PS2 hardware onboard .

The console has had all of the usual culprits that cause the YLOD repaired and or replaced to ensure it runs for many years to come.

Console and power cord only, no games or controllers are included.

The console is in very good/excellent cosmetic condition for the age also.

The motherboard has been ultrasonic cleaned and like new.

A random console will be sent, these units are 20 years old and do have minor scuffs and marks. They are not brand new, so please do not expect that they will be flawless.
