I had a switch come through with the BSOD,Blue Screen of Death

The general repair for the BSOD is to reball the APU as a ball has cracked or a pad has been pulled, this usually happens when the unit has been bent or stood on and flexed the board too much.

After installing the APU,it still had the BSOD. I then looked further into the situation and found that a trace between the APU and RAM block had been damaged by the previous owner trying to lift the heat shield from the motherboard.

I had to cut a piece of the shielding frame to see the problem and I found this on my gut instinct. I repaired the trace and away she went.
