PS3 60GB Repair/Refurb to Retrieve Photos
Today I had the pleasure of refurbishing a clients loved PS3 60 GB Backwards Compatible that had the YLOD and he wanted to be able to retrieve the old photos on there. The only way to retrieve the photos is to have the console repaired to working state.
Here are a heap of pictures throughout the restore process. This console had been attacked preciously by another company that over charged my client and under done the work. The only work done on this console was the RSX had been delidded and a tonne of paste applied,showing how bad the previous company was with their knowledge and repairs.
I’ll just throw up the rest of the pics showing my process of replacing the RSX,delidding the CELL,replacing power rail caps and NEC-Tokin caps and reapplying the right amount of thermal paste
All the above pics show the refurb process and the components replaced to restore the console to its former glory
