Today we TSOP modded an original Xbox. Here are some pics of the process. We installed a modchip so we could install a softmodded hard drive to flash the TSOP. First of all we had to remove the solder from the LPC header so we could install the pinheader for the modchip.

Once the pinheader is installed we can mount the chip and run the D0 and BT wires the chip requires to boot.

Once the setup is complete you can boot to an install disc,we use slayers and install the softmod to the hard drive. We have a pre modded hard drive to use so there is no need to install the softmod each time. As long as we unlock the hard drive after use we can lock it to the next console to be able to flash the TSOP again on another console.
Whilst we had the console dismantled we also removed the clock capacitor which is a menace in consoles from 1.0 to 1.5. It ends up leaking and can cause corrosion to the board and its components in the direct area.

We also installed a 1TB SATA hard drive with a StarTech IDE/SATA hard drive adapter with an 80 pin IDE cable for better data transfer and performance.
