I repaired an Xbox One S today that would chime on then about 3 seconds later shut down silently with no more interaction from the power button. I diagnosed that the BD PCB was shorting the system and needed replacing.

To do this you have to remove the Microsoft IC from the original drive PCB and install it on a replacement PCB

The Microsoft IC on the drives board is married to the main motherboard. If you do not move this to the new board then the console will not play games.

With the right know how and the right tools,it is a reasonably simple repair to carry out. Successful repair and another very happy customer.
