I repaired a PS4 Phat today that turned on then turned off within a second. After testing the power supply and it being fine,I dove deeper into the system and started looking for a faulty component/s on the motherboard

I found F5103 fuse was blown and that the 2 x SMD capacitors on that rail were short to ground.

After replacing the two capacitors and the fuse the console was back up and running.

Another successful repair and it just shows that sometimes the usual problems and issues PS4’s have are not always the component first thought.
