We had this PS4 unit come in the the notorious BLOD,infinite pulsing blue light.
Under the thermal camera it showed that none of the RAM blocks were starting up. Usually when 1 or 2 don’t start it pinpoints the APU connection to the board so we did the usual first and reballed the APU with the same symptoms afterwards.

After this we investigated some more and discovered that a few capacitors under the southbridge had an intermittent short so we went ahead and replaced the southbridge.

Replacing the southbridge resolved the issue and the console was back up and running again.
