The royal treatment involves replacing the RSX,replacing the NEC Tokin caps and delidding the CELL and RSX to replace the thermal paste between the chips die and the IHS (integrated heat spreader)

We also look at the syscon error log to see if any other components needs work or replacing. This unit showed that the caps on the CELL were faulty. Replacing them is part of the “royal treatment”
