A Re-Repair from Beetronix in Morebank NSW- Stay away from them at all costs!

I had a customer bring me a few consoles today for a service. When dropping the consoles to me he told me that they had been to Beetronix for a reball/repair. Beetronix DO NOT have the ability nor the equipment to carry out such a repair. I have had numerous consoles pass my workbench that have been to this dodgy repair company and I have always found that the repairs the customer has paid for and been told that have been done are far from the truth from this poor excuse of a repair company. They need to be named and shamed so as customers STOP getting ripped off. Here are some pics of the extra bits and pieces I pulled out of the console before I reballed it and repaired it professionally

Removed the PSU to find aluminium shims to apply pressure to the APU

I went ahead and repaired the console professionally and correctly by reballing the APU

APU reballed and ready to reflow to the board

Moral of this story is “DO NOT enlist the unprofessional services of Beetronix in Moorbank NSW. They will overcharge you and dishonestly repair your console.
